Cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore if you have a routine of doing it regularly, every day, or even every other day. From there, decide on one item per day that needs to be taken care of and decide how to start decluttering these items. This is part of why it’s so important to take care of your flooring with regular cleaning.
For example, once I had an entire basket of cleaning rags, I knew it was okay for me to get rid of the rest that didn’t fit in the basket. The best way to make cleaning a pleasant experience is to find ways to make it fun. Living in a dorm is a great way to meet new people and be in close proximity to all the happenings on campus.
No matter how small it is, the best way to make an entryway most functional is to declutter it regularly. Remember, mix and matching will be your best friend. Aim to only keep the things you look and feel your best in when you wear them. These questions can help you figure out which items you love wearing and wear frequently. Don’t get so caught up in sorting the tiny trinkets that you can see on your shelves that you overlook the larger items that are causing chaos in your space.
Remember, you are making progress! Don’t beat yourself up because progress is slow - celebrate that you’re making progress at all. If you’re on a tight budget then you don’t need to fret because you can follow pretty much the same organization tips that we have mentioned by using a hanging closet organizer. Factors, such as lifestyle, interest, and budget will highly affect how many clothes you own.
Just get started and slowly you will make progress. But when you zero in on the space that will bring you the greatest joy, it will give you the motivation to get started and the momentum to keep going. This will prevent clutter from accumulating and help you maintain a cleaner home without too much work. Make the decision, today, to change the course of clutter in your home.
We did recently buy Leslie some new business clothes, but it was pre-budgeted and saved for over the course of a few months. You feel like you’re constantly tripping over things, and you can never find what you’re looking for. If you’re in this category and want to make room for new books, it might be time to give up on these unread titles. If you have room in your closet, be sure to group the type of pants in groups, like workout clothing, leisurewear, or casualwear.
Chances are, no matter where you're headed, you'll need some type of coat. I have to be in “the mood” for shopping, otherwise I go into a store trying to get something I need and also get distracted or don’t feel like going to try things on. You can drop them off at the store you received them from, like Target or Walmart.
Some causal jackets like denim jackets, windbreakers, rain jackets (Gore-Tex), and thick winter coats can be gently folded. You can also use binders to keep all the important documents like bank documents, insurance papers, letters pertaining your house, receipts of all kinds. To declutter and save precious counter space, move the ones you only occasionally use to a drawer or spot under the sink. Finally, pull everything out from below your bathroom sink, and declutter the items there.
Fortunately, there are ways to organize and declutter your house or personal space. They function in similar ways and share several common features. A "closet drawer" is similar in most ways to a high end kitchen cabinet or bathroom vanity drawer. Decluttering has a lot of benefits, but at the end of the day, you have to do what works for you.
What works for me might not essentially work for you too. If you prefer to buy bathroom items in bulk, such as extra large bottles of shampoo or massive packages of toilet paper, there might not be enough room in your bathroom to store them. An over-the-door shoe rack makes your door the perfect place to store shoes, accessories, or both. You could place a mirror off to the side of the dresser, near your closet or in a corner.
Not pictured is my mop, broom, and duster, which sit on the left side of the closet. So, in the spirit of New Year’s resolutions, I decided to give it the ol’ Kondo treatment and organize my laundry room linen closet! You can keep a trash can in every room and hide it some place where it cannot be seen.
