You could add a nice piece of trim to the ends of the shelves if the doors would still have room the close. At 5’5″, I never had heavy legs, but I am still round in my midsection. Leggings and skinny-leg jeans make a heavy person look ridiculous. I just started wearing ripped jeans two years ago after turning my nose up at them before that.
